ASUS Virtual Camera might not be working because you lack the installation of the camera driver as specified in the official description. Firstly, access the Support page for your ASUS product and download the camera driver, the install the driver and launch the ASUS Virtual Camera product and it should work. This is the procedure to make it work by default.

In order to fix the issue, navigate to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager, expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers and Imaging devices list and locate your webcam device. Select its driver, press the Delete key and reboot your PC. After that, press Scan for hardware changes icon from Device Manager and wait Windows to retrieve the drivers. If it doesn't help, update the camera utility to the latest version. Also, as an alternative, you can select a similar program from Software Informer database.

If you use Windows XP or below you can go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. In the Currently installed programs box, click on the ASUS Virtual Camera program and then click Remove. If you have Windows Vista or above you need to go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Select the ASUS Virtual Camera application and click on Uninstall.
After that, visit Asus Support page and download and install the latest version of the software. This should fix the issue.
